Commission Information
Last updated: 2026-04-03
In this document, I, me, and my refer to "mjjii" (the provider of services).
All work is digital unless otherwise specified.
Projects will be "safe for work" (no nudity, sex, etc.) unless otherwise agreed upon.
The client will receive a current copy of the Commission Information document at the beginning of the commission process.
Payment Process
Flat-rate Commissions
Flat-rate commissions are paid in full upfront and are handled through Ko-fi or other platforms as specified in the listing. They are not subject to the deposit split outlined below.
Flat-rate commissions are non-refundable once work has begun. If work has not yet started, a full refund will be issued upon request.
Flat-rate commissions may follow a simplified process as described in the individual listing.
All Other Projects
Half of the quoted price must be paid upfront; this is the deposit. The other half is to be paid upon project completion, after the client has confirmed approval of the final product (see Final Approval).
Once payment is received in full, the client will receive the final product.
All payments will be made through PayPal.
Refunds and Disputes
Due to the digital nature of this work, refunds are not offered once work has begun.
In the event of a dispute, concerns must be raised directly with me within 7 days of delivery before any third-party dispute (such as a PayPal claim) is opened.
Project Cancellation
In the event that the client cancels the project after work has begun, the first half of payment will be forfeited by the client.
If cancellation occurs before work has begun, the client will be refunded their deposit.
Unresponsive Clients
If a client becomes unresponsive for 14 or more days without prior notice, the project will be treated in the same manner as a client-initiated cancellation.
Cancellation by Service Provider
If I need to cancel the project before completion, any payment already made will be refunded in full.
Commission Procedure
Once the first half of the payment has been received and verified, the client will be placed in the commissions queue and given a link to the commissions queue document.
The client and I will discuss necessary aspects of the commission through email before work is started and during the commission process. Estimated timelines will be communicated during the discussion phase.
Production Phases
- Discussion (before work starts)
- Sketch
- Render
- Finalization
Requesting Changes
Changes to the product should be requested before work has started or during the Sketch phase. Each phase includes up to 2 rounds of revisions by default. Additional revision rounds may be subject to extra fees.
During the production process, some changes cannot be made. These are changes that would require a new commission. I will note this any time such a change is requested.
Significant changes can be subject to additional fees. Fees will be quoted on a case-by-case basis and must be agreed upon by both parties before work on those changes begins. I will detail any applicable fees before proceeding.
Any changes after the Sketch phase can be subject to additional fees, which I will detail once a change is requested.
I reserve the right to refuse making changes for any reason.
Examples of Significant Changes
The following are examples of significant changes. This list is not exhaustive.
- Request for character to be swapped completely
- Major compositional changes (portrait to full body, for example)
- Significant art style changes
- Altering elements in a way that changes the composition
Final Approval
Before the second payment is due, the client will be shown a watermarked or low-resolution preview of the final product and asked to confirm approval in writing (by email reply).
By confirming approval, the client acknowledges that the work meets the agreed-upon specifications. The full-resolution final product will be delivered once the remaining payment is received.
